To help declare Mahottari District an Open Defecation Free (ODF) District by 13 January 2017, D-WASH-CC Mahottari and Samriddha Nepal jointly organized awareness programs on sanitation (WASH). School teachers, School Management Committees (SMCs), Child Clubs, and Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) from 12 Village Development Committees were mobilized to achieve the ODF target within the set timeline. Various activities were carried out in collaboration between both organizations until 15 July 2016.
